Jax Taylor and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, may have announced their exits from Vanderpump Rules in December 2020, but while the couple may not be in showbiz any longer, their one-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, is a working model.
As fans of Vanderpump Rules may have seen, Taylor confirmed his son's employment status during a Q&A session on his Instagram account at the end of last month.
As he continues to tease his and Brittany Cartwright's return to television, as he's done since they left Bravo, Jax Taylor has confirmed that his son has taken over the reins as the star of their home.
“Cruz has been working, he has been working,” Taylor revealed during a chat with his fans and followers on his Instagram Story, via Heavy. “He’s done a couple commercials, he’s done a couple modeling jobs.”
According to Taylor, he's happy to allow his son to be in the world of showbiz for now. However, if he starts to have ill feelings toward the industry, he won't hesitate to take him out.
"I’m gonna do it for a little while but then if he doesn’t like it I’m gonna pull him,” Taylor explained. “We’re basically just doing it to see if he enjoys it, and then he’s got to work a couple jobs with Brittany which has been a lot of fun. So we’re just kind of seeing what he likes, what’s going on with it. If he likes it, great, if he doesn’t, then he’ll stop it."
In April 2021, on the heels of Cruz's both, both Taylor and Cartwright shared heartwarming messages about his arrival on their Instagram pages.
"Our beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love," she wrote. "He is the most precious gift and I am so blessed to be his Mommy. We are soooooo so happy, he is a dream come true!!" read a statement posted by Cartwright, via Entertainment Tonight.
Meanwhile, in Taylor's statement, the former Vanderpump Rules star said that while he'd dream of the moment in which he'd become a father, it actually happening was "10000 times better."
"Dad mode just kicks in," he wrote. "I don’t think I have ever been as happy as I am right now, everything else in life seems so insignificant now. I am crying just writing this message. I have the most beautiful son a man could ask for, he’s an absolute blessing from God."
