CrossFit Athlete Dani Elle Speegle Thrills While Rock Climbing

Dani Elle Speegle surprised fans with a fun workout on Monday. The CrossFit athlete got her cardio in first thing in the morning, hitting the Latitude Climbing + Fitness gym in Norfolk, Virginia for a little indoor rock climbing session.

As fitness enthusiasts know, the activity is a great full-body workout with benefits for strengthening the deltoid muscles and the core. However, judging by Speegle's six-pack abs, it didn't look like she needed any boosting in that area.

Sharing a video from the gym on Instagram, the 28-year-old put her insanely ripped abs on show as she powered through the moves, making it all the way up the wall with great ease. As always, she made the workout look extremely easy, as it often happens whenever she posts her training sessions.

Speegle also added a few snaps in which she was joined by a couple of friends, including fellow CrossFitter Alec Smith. Just like Speegle, Smith is a three-time CrossFit Games athlete and a True Grit Fitness and The Toe Spacer partner.

Training Buddies

Recently posing with Smith to compare quads after a bike and air squat workout (as seen above), Speegle quoted Lil Jon in the caption, choosing a line from "Get Low" that worked fabulously with her rock climbing sesh. "To the wiindooowwwwww…to the WALL," she wrote, with fans taking turns to compliment her sensationally fit physique in the comments.

"Time for rock action abs absolutely," said one person, who told Speegle she looked "gorgeous."

"Okay shreddddyyy," quipped Valor Strength fitness app owner Jessica Cahoy.

"Dani’s core is amazing!" gushed another user. "Even her lower back has a six pac [sic]!"

How She Stays In Shape

Certainly deserving of all of that praise, Speegle works hard to maintain her athlete's body and stay in shape. Apart from consistently practicing bouldering, she's in the gym five to six days a week, putting in as much as five hours every day to achieve a competition-ready physique.

According to Best CrossFit Shoes, she relies on a combination of isolation movements and conditioning training to build her strength and muscles by targeting specific areas.

Her Fitness Secret

The 28-year-old powerhouse, who has a background in gymnastics and made the switch to CrossFit in 2015, makes sure to have one day of active rest a week, which typically consists of sauna and ice baths. Her gym buddy, Smith, is usually around for these recovery sessions as well, as seen from a recent Instagram post in which she admitted she wasn't a huge fan of the "ice bath part."

Speegle, who also trains with her longtime boyfriend, fitness instructor, and CrossFitter Alex Gorgon (see selfie above), also allows herself one day of complete rest each week. This system clearly works for the seasoned athlete, who ranked 14th in the 2022 CrossFit Open.

As far as her diet goes, Speegle is into Paleo and tries to eat healthy as much as possible. Despite enjoying an occasional cheat day, her meals usually consist of lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, with additional supplements, such as BCAAs, creatine, and whey protein.
